macOS - Cannot Update App

Problem

Unable to Update Microsoft Office Applications in macOS

"Cannot Update App

Microsoft PowerPoint cannot be updated because it was refunded or purchased with a different Apple ID."

Solution

Unfortunately, this is a bug with Self Service and Apple.  There is a workaround.

Uninstall Office

1. Open Finder
   
2. Click on Applications
   
   
3. Right click on each office product and select Move to Trash
   
   
4. Repeat for each office product

Reinstall Office using Suite package

1. Open Self Service
   
   
2. Click on Office Software on the left menu bar
   
3. Click on Install under Microsoft Office 2019 Suite
