Issue
Canvas displays the following error message:
This is a common error message in the Canvas "Student" iOS App.
Resolution
Please try the following solutions:
1. Restart the iPad
- To restart the iPad, press and hold the power button for 10 seconds
- Swipe to the right to shut off your iPad
- Once the iPad is powered off, press and hold the power button until you see the Apple Logo appear
2. Clear the Canvas App Cache
- Quit the Student Canvas App by double-tapping the home button and swiping up on the App
- Open Settings from the Home screen
- Scroll to the Student App on the left-hand side and select it
- Tap on the toggle switch to the right of "Reset cache on next launch"
- Open Canvas Student App
- Tap Find my School
- Enter Derry Township, then tap on Derry Township SD
- Enter your DTSD Network Username and Password, then Tap Log in
3. Uninstall and Reinstall the Student App
- Tap and Hold on the Student App until it gives you the following screen, then select Delete App
- Tap Delete to delete the Student App
- Open Self Service
- Search for Canvas
- Tap Reinstall to the right of Canvas by Instructure
- Once the App reinstalls, open the App
- Tap Find my School
- Enter Derry Township, then tap on Derry Township SD
- Enter your DTSD Network Username and Password, then Tap Log in
